S'mores

Last night we made s'mores.
Two out of three original ingredients aint bad.
The result was perfect - just as sweet and grose as we remember!

Kindy is Back!!!

Hector was thrilled to bits this morning when he woke up and remembered it was his first day at his new kindy - he's been waiting foooooooooooooooooorever! There is just the one pic - I didn't want to embarrass him on his very first day. He stated with 3 others, including TWO Felix's, now what are the chances of that!

This is Hector sitting next to the new teacher Jackie. And that is the red dice that you have to be holding in order to be able to talk during mat time... we will have to work on this skill.

Hector's pride and joy. He planted the teeny tiny seeds of the sunflower and is intrigued at how they always point toward the sun - until today. At 6pm they were facing east! With the last 3 days of continuous rain we think they might be a little behind schedule!

From 4 to 2 (feet)

It doesn't matter when your child does something new, every time you think they are just the cleverest thing alive

Move Over Martha! (photos for my mum)

This is my plum jam. I can not lie, I am so proud of myself, it even set! (which is more than I can say for my first attempt at strawberry). What makes this jam even more exciting is that the plums were hand picked on a beautiful hot sunny day by my two little darlings and me.
Things are getting growing.

not sure why these are up the wrong way

crazy amounts of basil. Thats fennel - or as we planted it from seeds called Florence for reasons that are obvious.

Pesto manufacture photos to follow.....

Bug

Hector found this cicada on our garage door - he insisted we needed to get a 'wrelly close shot of it'. So here it is............

Got the Cot Crazies!

Honestly, what goes on here! Look mum - NO HANDS - and the audience (even though they are not watching, LOVES it!)

Bit of hot glue gunning to end the drought HJM has had over the holidays - we're wondering if Waimauku Kindy has H.G.G's?!?!?!
The craziness carried on when buckets of rain came down - this was the 3rd change of clothes for F for the day and only Hectors second - easy!

We've expanded to SIX!

THE PURCHASE! Adoption would be a nicer term ....

Moni was with us to make sure we were on track.

Yes, two new residents movcd in today. At the moment we're referring to them as Ronga and Tonga, but that could change at any minute. The newly Chris-built hutch was christened today when they moved in - not overly thrilled with their new surroundings but hopefully they will get a bit more adventurous once they have had a few days to settle in.
