Nanny-tastic

Does she look part of the furniture? Hector wishes she was! Annaliese has been with us for 12 hours of each day for the past two weeks and we've enjoyed every minute. I saw a new side of Hector last night as we waved her goodbye, his bottom lip started quivering as I closed the door and a few seconds later the flood gates opened. Yup, she'd made an impact on him alright! One French family will score it lucky next year when she's Europe-bound to be a nanny. Thanks for having us Annaliese.
We did a spot of gardening too, hopefully we'll be eating yummy pok choy in a couple of months.

Birthday Birthday

Here are Chris and I on the evening of my 34th birthday - I look quite happy considering I thought I was turning 33!

We enjoyed Shubu-Shubu at the local Japanese joint, we even ate some RAW! YUM! Honestly.

The weekend before we were in Wanganui to celebrate Dad's 60th birthday.
bit naughty but it turned into a mini pre birthday for me....

A rare photo of all of us. 8 in total in this pic including the 2 Sarah has on board. She's looking pretty fabulous for being two thirds the way to the finish line.

Two perfectly behaved children on the flight down. It was really nice and very rare that Hector and I get to sit down and chat for an hour, I adore my wee girl but I miss time with my boy.

All thumbs up here captain!
