Birkenhead Christmas Parade

We had a whole new experience this year - watching the local parade. Last year we were all aboard the Highbury Creche Float and had spent weeks getting it ready for the big event. It was rather nice to sit back and see what hard work lots of other people had put into it this year.

Bob the Builder

It would be fair to say that not a lot of clothes have been worn lately - way too hot!

Aunty Joanne's Birthday

Joanne turned 50 this month and there were a whole lot of Macbeth's around to celebrate. We spent the weekend in Hamilton, played ten pin bowling and dinned at the casino afterwards. The prego lady won! Tee He!

Hector flawed us with being able to sit at the dining table for two and a half hours.... well past his bed time - he just loves being the big boy. We saw the huge Christmas tree change all sorts of colours on our short walk home.

Cupcakes for Creche

Creche kids are going to be full of energy after this morning tea time!

Zoo

We caught up with Mish and Micah yesterday - Mission Bay playground has had a facelift and it fabulous!

Then we headed to the zoo where the rain didn't stop our outing - and it we weren't the only ones braving the weather it was packed!

Santa Parade!

We joined the 250,000 other people lining Queen Street yesterday to catch a glimpse of Santa! He didn't dissapoint, Hector just wished he'd brought his list with him so he could hand deliver it!

Trimming the Tree

Why do they say 'trimming the tree'? Is it because with a real tree it might need clipping into shape before decorating it? We decorated ours this weekend and Hector loved every minute of it. AND he's not used the baubles as amo for his baseball bat yet so its all good!

No Photos!

With all this kindy business and music and swimming and stuff going on I'm struggling to take any photos! How terrible. So here is Hector and the new friend he found in the mail today.
