ANZAC Day

The Cooks were on their way out of NZ today, we caught up with them at the airport and met beautiful wee Mackenzie.

Big boys with their little girls.

Couldn't believe H was up to the challenge - he didn't exactly change Florry's nappy but he did put one back on her. His proudness was adorable.

A little bit of garden maintenance for an ANZAC day...

And as it's tradition we made some Anzac bikkies. YUM! If only I could eat them!!!!!!!

Chris or Jo?!?!?!?!??!

I accepted a long time ago that Hector's genes are Macbeth ones! He's a boy and he looks like his handsome dad, cool, but now we have a daughter I'm really wondering if she looks anything like me or does Macbeth rule here too.

This one is Chris..

ME ME ME!

CHRIS.

Definately me!
Interesting isn't it.

Intensive Swimming

The holidays were seeming prett long so we booked Hector in to do an intensive swimming course. EVERYDAY! He was in heaven after his initial freak out at the different pool and teacher. As it turned out he thought his Scottish instructor Calvin was pretty hilarious!

Not sure but H could be attempting a Scottish jig... oh, but thats Irish isn't it?!?!

The Kids

Here are a few pics of the two kidliewinks.... Hector had a fabulous time at the park on Sunday, down poles and getting stuck on his bike - Poppa Carl really knows how to sort him out! The outfit Florry has on is from my Other Mother Sandra.... the hat cracks me up!!!!!!!!!!

Nanny's Birthday

We have been so so lucky this past month... we've had Nanny and Poppa here twice as well as spending Easter with them in Taupo! This visit was Nanny Goats birthday, we even managed to whip up a cake in the midst of the chaos.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANNY GOAT WE LOVE YOU

We went out to Daikoku and had a teppanyaki dinner. Nanny had a lovely time as did we all but Hector wasn't too keen on the fire. In fact it freaked him out more than anything I have seen before! Dad sorted him out though and he eventually came back to the table to finish his dinner. Florence could not have behaved better, she hung out in her capsule (which I can't stand) but she was happy so that made me happy too.

Home for desert - the massive cake I'd made a few hours before.

This Face Does Not Reflect My Love For Aunty Kylie!

Waking Up Is Hard To Do!

Florence loves sleeping...... mostly anyway! Sometimes its just not fair when her 'sleep police' mama wakes her up.

Easter Weekend

Align Center
Huka Falls up close - Dad's head is up closer though isn't it!
We did the Huka Falls River Cruise over the weekend....the amount of water coming down that gap is overwhelming, and it was only running at around 30%, I'd hate to be on that boat at 75%.

Hector looked a bit dubious about the whole outing, Popa Carl was there to look over him though.

So between chasing Brad and Sarah's kitten, river cruising and bombing at the AC Baths it was a huge day for a 3.5 year old. He fell asleep eating his dinner. All this while Uncle Brad remembered what it was like to drink like a European.
