Driving Range

This first pic does not show the level of excitement Hector displayed when Chris told him he was taking him to the driving range! The camera does lie.

A beautiful daddy moment and one full of instruction.

This is when the 100 balls has been hit. I had a few drives, but HJM definately hit the majority of those 100.

Final Days of our Holiday

Hanging.

Lunch with Nana Anna was lovely....Hector doing his best here to outrun her!

The morning was tough for my little boy.... he was zapped after his swim in the hot waters of the AC baths.

Abby Dean's third birthday. Splash Centre was a hit and the cake afterwards was an even bigger one!

Me and my mummy.

I'm beating my Nana is one of very few 80+ year olds that can rock the skirt and boots look!

Black Sand Beach

When I said to Hector that we were going to the beach he didn't expect it to look like this. Black sand! Its what I grew up with and is very normal but to lots its not. There was sun but the wind made for a chilly outing and the sea was aggressive. Still, we had heaps of fun playing with the sticks and pretending to hit pumice golf balls.

This one I took but the ones below................

Hector took these all by himself. You can see the camera went from high to low, but one out of three is a top effort for a two year old. xx Well Done H!

Wanganui Week Two

Abby invited Hector to join her Mainly Music class this week. It's unheardof but Hector was shy! Only when the morning tea and cars came out at the end did he start to thaw. Abby had a special cake with 3 candles on it - its her birthday on Friday.

Kowhai Park is on the top of the fun list. It still seems weird to me that my child is playing on the play ground that I grew up knowing. Unlike me he loves that terrible spinning around thing.

Our visit with Joan and June ended with a little bit of drama...we got a flat tyre. I would have called the AA but Nan insisted that I call Poppa Tom. And a super job he did too inbetween booting Hector out from under his feet. Thanks Poppa Tom!

The Greatest Grandmothers

These pics are for you Kylie!

Coming up to 79 years ago, these two little girls went on their separate ways to their first day of school. They became friends. Amazingly, 60 years later their grand daughters (Kylie and I) met on their first day of high school. Every day I am thankful that I have a friend as thoughtful, loving, sincere and beautiful as you Kylie!
