Hail to Jack!

Mid-morning couldn't arrive fast enough for Hector today - Jack was coming to play! Feeling a little bad about how much I have used poor Jack as a bribe, but bottom line, it works! A bit of Thomas, hundred and thousand bickies, soccer and the occasional hula added up to a lovely morning.

Anzac Day

On Anzac Day we make Anzac Bickies. I always think I have kept the recipe from the year before but when it comes time to pull it out it cannot be found. But that's ok because I found the best Anzac biscuit recipe ever...

We raced over to Birkenhead War Memorial for the 10am Anzac Day service. It was wet and windy, so it was amazing how many people turned out to honour our fallen soldiers. Hector was quiet throughout the ceremony, I think all the men and women in unifrom were a little intimidating.

Hector's Taupo Holiday

Quite unintentionally we left Hector in Taupo on Sunday afternoon. We had a productive weekend at the Taupo house painting and it caught me off guard when mum suggested Hector stay for a few days. The first few hours were weird, the next day weirder but by the second day I'd achieved so much in such a short space of time I was very grateful. Nonetheless I couldn't get to Taupo fast enough last night to see him. The look on his face when he realised I was there was priceless..makes me tear up just thinking about it. He had a super time and was super spoilt! Thanks Nanny and Poppa for loving him the way you do.

Cupcake Decorating!

We relived the 'olden days' of Harrisburg today - I looked after Ben, Alice and Oliver! Ben doesn't really need looking after, but it was great to see them.

Haircut, Scooters & Parcels!

7 am this morning Hector had his hair cut. By me! We've tried and failed many times with hairdressers, so a bit of tv and the clippers worked wonders. Turned out pretty good, even made the scooter go a bit faster too we think!

this is Rocco's cool little cousin cooper - he mowed the whole school! Jennie get snapped here raiding the schools vege garden - just as well its school holidays. the shot of the three boys is hilarious, look closer at H's right hand.

There was a parcel waiting in our letterbox when we got home today. Talk about suspense waiting for Hector to wake up so he could open it! It got the better of me and I had to stomp around very loudly after more than 2 hours of sleep....he woke! It was a little parcel from Nana Collins. Hector made friends with this little lion when we was at Nana Collins' place over the weekend. There was also a marshmallow egg which you can see all over his shirt! Thanks Nana C. xxx
