Kiss the Crab!

The tide was right out at Little Shoal Bay yesterday - we took a walk out to the turning tide. Lots of crabs were happily digging holes in the shallow water.....until HJM arrived. Up close and personal with one here!

Uncle Brad's Flying Visit

Brad was in town for work on Monday - we gave him a proper bed this time! Hector got in a bit of catch practice while he was here.

The Weekend

NEW TOMATOES! We grew these sweet and tastly little babies!

Hector chose his clothes and dressed himself on Saturday morning while I was out walking, very proud mother I am!

Crafty

We had a lesson in decision making this week.... what do you do when you want both but have to choose only one! What you get is a trantrum that is audible to the entire store, a few tears then finally the satisfaction of painting your ONE treat when you get home. This is Hector's plane that he chose then painted and is now his number one toy!

We love the Holidays

Because we get to hang out with Aunty kylie! She brought treats ....nothing unusual there,...and they went down a treat too! How cute is this!

Orewa Ice Creams

Sunday we headed a little north to Orewa to check out the beach and get a whoppa ice cream. Didn't quite make it to the beach, the play ground interrupted us for some strange reason.

That is a very prego belly pushing that swinging child!

This nap happened before not after the playground. Those shades are just hilarious are they not!

Meet the Seal

Hot hot days are best spent at the pool, and we sure have been doing a lot of that but when you can't be there all day this puppy comes in handy....meet the seal! His sprinkle has landed inside the lounge a few times but no major damage can of it.

KJ in the Kitchen...

And No. 1 Nanny! A little gathering was had over the weekend and KJ excelled in the kitchen as usual. These on show here are her salmon and asparry cream cheese with garlic salt bites - flash! And number one attraction was wee Rachel. G O R G E O U S!

Misson Bay Picnic

The best summer day we've had so far and we were at Mission Bay with everybody else to enjoy it. Aunty Kylie was the only form of entertainment necessary for the boys.

Seeing Sammy and Sophia

Another day, another catch up. This time with Rachel, Sammy and Sophia and we finally met the gorgeous Katerina.

This was actually after the fun filled morning, we'd been to the pool.

We finally saw Rocco and Jennie for the first time this year! What better place to reunite than the zoooooooooooooooooooo. The dragon has had a facelift too over the break.

Sprinkler

We gave the garden a bit of a spruce up this weekend - although managed to stay hydrated this year and not get hospitalised with kidney stones - this is our new pot. The lemon tree that was in there was not doing so well so its now in the ground ready to produce lots and lots of lemons!
