Santa Parade!

We joined the 250,000 other people lining Queen Street yesterday to catch a glimpse of Santa! He didn't dissapoint, Hector just wished he'd brought his list with him so he could hand deliver it!

Trimming the Tree

Why do they say 'trimming the tree'? Is it because with a real tree it might need clipping into shape before decorating it? We decorated ours this weekend and Hector loved every minute of it. AND he's not used the baubles as amo for his baseball bat yet so its all good!

No Photos!

With all this kindy business and music and swimming and stuff going on I'm struggling to take any photos! How terrible. So here is Hector and the new friend he found in the mail today.

It's All Caught Up

My little man has fizzled out on the couch today! He's still adjusting to being a big kindy kid and the batteries ran out just after lunch.

V Garden Update

Not to over do the whole vege garden buzz, but they're growing beautifully...AND all garden's are now signposted.

Hector's Garden

My loving husband got home from Japan on Monday morning, went to work for most of the day then came home and made H his very own vege garden. I know its prebably the last thing he felt like doing, but off they went to the hardware store to get the timber and a few hours later they were planting little baby corns. This garden is Hector's first real responsibility, so we'll see how it turns out.

There was a bit of concern there was no sign for this garden...

Taupo Ohope Holiday

All plum tuckered out. It was a big week!

Whakatane had a few big things to see...this tree and the hole in the rock were some of them.

Fishing at the wharf wasn't as successful as at the beach but it was a nice hour in the sunshine.

This one is for Dad! He developed quite an attachment to the variable oyster catcher while we were in the BOP.

Julian's Berry Farm - what a great place for everyone. We got to pick strawberries ourselves. Surprisingly Hector ate none during the picking process, not the same can be said for us three however.

Got em! Hector got stug by a bee. I was pleased Poppa Carl was there, I never got bitten as a child and had no idea that you scrape the sting off rather than pluck it out. Nanny was on hand with some natural remedies for a quick recovery.

Poppa and Hector strolling along Ohope Beach.

We found a crab and waterfall..

Had a horse ride and a fluffy!

Uncle Brad and Sarah provided some great entertainment after the mini golf was found to be closed!

We caught these snapper on the long line. We figured Brad deserved it after paddling the thing out 1km and falling off in the process. Pity Taupo is never this lucrative.

This is the Barbary...we had a private charter, it was amazing!

We sailed under motor power to the Maori Carvings then sailed all the way home. Didi looked very much at home behind the wheel.

A few shots of the airport and Hector's compulsory ride on the helicopter. He was also quite excited to grab the tuatara's tail too.
